I know that the -an suffix can be used for making an adjective out of a verb stem.
For example instead of saying:
domuzu uçuyor
The pig is flying
we can use an adjective form:
uçan domuz
flying pig

So can this be applied to compound verbs???
Are these correct???

gülen polis
laughing policeman
dans edan kraliçe
dancing queen
şaka yapan siyasetçi
joking politician

Quoting bod:

domuzu uçuyor
The pig is flying

Domuz uçuyor.

Why did you add -u suffix?

the -en/-an participle expresses both present and past tense
for the verbs whose stems end in a consonant, -an/-en is added
for the verbs whose stems end in a vowel, -yan/-yen is added

e.g. calisan adam= the working man (the man who is working/ who worked)
elma satan kadin= the woman selling apples
kitap okuyan ogrenci= the student reading a book
treni bekleyen turist= the tourist waiting for the train

Dun bizi arayan adam nereye gitti?= Where did the man who looked for us yesterday go?
Ayakta duran cocugu buraya cagir!= Call here the kid standing!
Simdi sarki soyleyen artist kim?= Who is the artist who is singing now?
