London is cold too. They say we may have snow before the end of the week, which would be quite early for this time of year. However, they say that this year will be the coldest winter in the UK since 1960 something... but we will see. An excuse to go shopping for winter clothes and boots teehee

I hate the winter so much!!!! My birthday is in the winter. I always thought about a summer birthday, so that I could invite my friends over for a barbeque and a few glasses of wine
I love it when it gets to the end of January and the nights start drawing out.

hmmm....I think it depends on what region of Turkey are you talking about. in some regions winter is very cold with loads of snow (I know that Malatya is veeerrry cold, and Konya)
Personally I love winter. I see that I'm only second person here who likes winter. I don't like cold so much but I love snow. I love long walks on snowy filds on sunny days, I love snow fights with brothers [we never will be to old to do that]. and I love skating. I love when it snows!....I even like clearing of snow from driveway.
I don't know how I will suvive here, without winter and snow...I can only watch pictures my brother sends me

I hate shopping so much- my daughter tells me I'm not a "natural" woman. Winter-cozy nights in front of a blazing fire, mulled red wine, lovely smell of pine from the Christmas tree, being the first to get your footprints in newly fallen snow, hot chocolate with a drop of brandy11
It has lots of lovely things about it!!!

Add me to that list as I also hate shopping! I always work out where i need to go first, so that I am not in town for too long.

Aahh, but that is something I actually like a lot!! I love cooking, and all the things you have to do before you can start. Of course I don't do this every day, when I come home from work I go for a pizza sometimes.. It's not that nice when there is not much time.
But cooking for friends and then have a long evening around the table, hm, one of my favourite things! Outside in summer, warm and cosy inside in winter

Having four seasons is great. I live in a tropical country and we only have two seasons, the dry and wet, so it's either sunny or raining.

About winter, I have a very unforgettable memory of that in Hong Kong wayback 2002. It doesn't really snow in there (only in mainland China), but I loved shopping for boots, jackets, scarves and mittens. Hong Kong is such a shopping haven you know.
Anyway..WINTER.. SPRING.. SUMMER OR FALL?
Oh.. I can't just decide for one. They have their own beauty in every sense.

Did it snow yet? You in the city, me in the country upstate, I think I've seen enough snow for a while. Let some melt then we can have some more.
I like when it snows big fluffy flakes. Before the plows come, early in the morning when everything is quiet and glittering.

anyway, who wants another snow day off from school?

There has been snow this winter in Holland, one day schools were even cancelled for it, or pupils sent home. I fell of my bike because of iced-roads

So I'll be glad to feel the sun upon my face again I like winters only to make me appreciate summers more. But for me, winter shouldn't take more than a month. So this is too long now!! Yazı istiyorum!

I didn't have such a body for 8 months..and when I had it, it was 20 degrees And now I need it.. and i will have to wait for 5 months again till i will have him near me.. and then it will probably be over 30 degrees

So i think you shouldn't complain Bod (at least I'm still laughing at a fact that i could easily cry about)
