yes i would be curious,especially if they do not give any details as it would make me suspicious.i give any ex's details and would expect the same 2 be done 4 me..

Merhaba Met!
1.I dont think i would go that far with my curiousity by trying to find MSN id because i believe it is useless and a complicated thing to unbury the past..What happened in the past, should stay in the past- the present moment is more important and we should focus on future and enjoy every second together
2. I dont think boys/men keep a diary or at least i havent met one!!Its more a girl thing to keep a diary or at least that is what we see on TV soap operas,a girl noting every moment of her life..
The main point is if anyone has questions about his/her ex or previous relationships, it is better to ask and talk those things face to face and not doing things behind his/her back, i think that would only worsen the situation

Your question implies mistrust of your gf/bf. What would be the point in talking to the ex? What exactly would you want to know from that person that you could not find out from your gf/bf?
And asking for the diary just to get a reaction??? Why play games? It is really very childish.
Don't let insecurities cloud your judgement. Let go of the curiosity!

I am only curious to find out about the past of my lover if he is willing to answer. If not there are two possibilities: nothing special is to say so I leave it where it belongs - in the past. But, I must say that if my boyfriend should act suspicious or is obvious hiding things I would consider if he is mr. right for me.

If anyone did this to me they would get a short sharp answer and I would never dream of doing it to anyone else. Ex's are ex's are far as I am concerned. No-one elses business.

MET I actually think its a good question and you are obviously curious about something, but from experiance delving in a spouses past relationships can only cause MORE curiousity arguments and cause your mind to wander out of control. If you are suspicous that maybe her realtionship with this "ex" is more then it appears and you have the opportunity to talk with the ex that is fine to converse, BUT a diary is personal... its not like just reading emails or texts, its someones lone thoughts and should only be read if she is willing to share. Its an ultimate invasion of privacy and should be left alone..... You know the saying curiosity killed the cat? Try not to give it so much thought... after all I'm sure there is things in your past that should be kept sacred?
