I can send MMS to Turkey - I'm on Vodafone and can send to any Turkish network. Though my friend has problems sending from Turkey to me.

Are you sure???? I tried to send a photo MMS several times and it always failed and I was told by Orange that NO MMS can be sent to Turkish networks

i have sent mms messages successfully to turkish phones as well.and i'm on orange..i was also able to do this through virgin...although sometimes they have to collect it from a computer.but the majority of the time it has worked..i have also received mms messages from turkey when i was with 3G network..

Do you know what network the person sending you the MMS was on? My friend has tried using Avea as well as Turkcell, neither of them worked.

My Turkish friend uses an O2 sim card. I can send free SMS messages to him as part of my monthly allowance. He can reply for free using MMS as long as the sim is topped up by £10 each month. SMS from abroad using O2 is 50p but MMS seems to be free. You get about 75 free MMS for £10 and then it starts to use the £10 credit. Don't call the O2 number though because they will be charged to receive the call.

I use vodafone and my better half uses his turkish sim card, we regularly send mms to each other and recieve them no problems, it doesnt cost him a fortune either.
