Even if you don't like thrillers but do love to read about Istanbul and Cappadocia, I recommend this book. Besides it written funny and very thrilling at some moments, it's full of wonderful descriptions of Istanbul and villages in Cappadocia. I can see myself walking in the valleys there, watching the fresco's, staring at the fairy chimneys. I remember walking on Galata Bridge, looking for places in Taksim and enjoying the Bosporus view. For thriller-lovers: murder, gossip, adultery, kidnapping, bomb-explosions are ingredients all over. And for the more romantic ones: love enough...

I don't mind being the off-topic because that's a real TC tradition but can anyone tell me what this romance stuff has to do with the description of a thriller about Istanbul and Cappadocia?

The ISBN in the first post is the English version. I read her books mostly in English because I find the Dutch translations not too good. And also her latest book is worth mentioning: A Passion for Killing (2007), including the inside of the trade of carpet sellers....
