Actually he doesn't need a visa, because he can get in his sleigh and fly over the borders. This is probably the only way 'normal' turks can get into the UK also! Either that or they have to resurrect the Ottoman days - get a flying carpet (there's a place in old Istanbul for this I'm told)
There is as much chance of a 'normal' everyday kind of Turk getting a visa as there is finding the flying carpet shop in Istanbul! Am I bitter ? you betcha!

Customs! This only the half of it. he had to endure weeks of anti rabies injections before he could come to the UK - then he had to have an animal passport just to get in and then would you believe, because he was originally from Iceland (who are not yet part of the EU) he also had to have a special visitors permit! Its a world gone mad!

If Europe keep expanding their borders to let in everyone, will the 'Earth' eventually be renamed 'Europe'? Does that mean that no one will live in the economically or climatically challenged places? (note the Politically Correct language for 'poor' and 'crap weather'!

Why is it that everyday tens of thousands of illegal immigrants from all over the whole world, just walk in through the Kent ports because there are not enough immigration officers or police to stop them and yet a single honest turk can't get a visa?

WHY WHY WHY?

You have hit the nail on the head Alpha! Ask any English boy who went on holiday in turkey. Generally they don't stand a chance of meeting a girl, because the Turks are getting them all!

In WW2, it was the same with the americans. the english blokes hated them, because they got all the women!. The US guys were described as
'overpaid, oversexed and over here!' (not that I have any personal recall of this you understand)

Bravo Alpha, you have solved the problem. Too many Turkish men in the UK would cause a deficit of single UK men!
