Which songs threw you to the edges of great sorrow, depression and even suicide?

Which is your most moving or meditating song?
Have you got any?

Mine are
Anathema-Fragile Dreams

and

Anathema-Deep

I advise them highly...
They are not Hard,not fast....

They are slow and meditating but maybe sorrowful with amazing clear vocals of a perfect accented English(Vincent Cavannagh's vocals)

If you want,I can send you these songs...

Hi Atilla,
I would love to hear these songs please. I tried to search for them myself and didn't find them. If you send me a private message i will give you my gmail address and you can send and then i can post a reply to them.

I am thinking about my own deep songs. I don't know yet what they are.

Thanks

Have u seen "Requiem for a dream"? The soundtrack is fantastic, especially one of the melodies-it's incredible.
The second song I love is Verve's "Bitter sweet symphony".

I expect everyone will think this is a bit pathetic, but the music video that moved me most was Emre Altug's Ask i kyiamet. I can't say it was the song, because I didn't understand a word of it and without the video I would not have been moved, but I can tell you that I cried a river when I watched the video! When the old man is putting his departed wife's nightdress on his face, it reminded me of when my father died, my mother would not wash his pillow until his own 'smell' had left it. Also when my friend's young son was killed in a car crash, on the day after he died she would sit in his bedroom smelling his clothes. This is very powerful, because if someone is gone forever the last tangible thing you can have left to remind you of them is the smell of them. - OK actually I don't think my choice of songs that moved me is quite so pathetic now.

ok, well when i was little, I used to cry to a song called going home and when my dad used to whistle it I used to cry, but grown out of that one now.

Enrique inglesias - Hero

When I first heard I think it was the video that got me and from then on it always makes me soooo sad and cry.

The words in spanish are even more sad.
Ohh i'm welling up...have to go...BYE

Kelley changed "class members" to "classy members".
Classy=Stylish, fashionable;of high class or rank.
Thank you, Kelley .

nowaday's songs are worthless,their aim:to make profit

The songs must have artistic value!Today only some mariginal Metal bands have some,I think...Pop,R&B,HipHop...
These are not for the people who love real art and effort!

Oh yes, "Gel benimle" is amazing just as Yasar's "Masal." (I think I should thank someone for them and many more )I'd also add Redd's "Mutlum Olmak Icin" - absolutely captivating.

Bir Telefon - Hakan Altun, I love it because, all my friends are addicted to it. I know some of what the words mean and it sounds like quite a sad song, and I am a very sentimental person. everything seems to make me cry these days.

ŞIMARIK

Takmış koluna elin adamını
Beni orta yerimden çatlatıyor
Ağzında sakızı şişirip şişirip
Arsız arsız patlatıyor
Belki de bu yüzden vuruldum
Sahibin olamadım ya
Sığar mı erkekliğe seni şımarık
Değişti mi bu dünya
Çekmiş kaşına gözüne sürme
Dudaklar kıpkırmızı kırıtıyor
Bi de karşıma geçmiş utanması yok
İnadıma inadıma sırıtıyor
Biz böyle mi gördük babamızdan
Ele güne rezil olduk
Yeni adet gelmiş eski köye vah
Dostlar mahvolduk
Seni gidi fındıkkıran
Yılanı deliğinden çıkaran
Kaderim püsküllü belam
Yakalarsam...
Ocağına düştüm yavru
Kucağına düştüm yavru
Sıcağına düştüm yavru
El aman

my favorite song is Zor of Nev... it was for this song that I wanted to learn Turkish for the first time. I didn't know what he was saying but the way he sang I understood what he wanted to say. it's amazing that's why I really like this song. it's the first turkish song I falled in love with!! maybe I would not be here if I had never heard this song!!!

Merhaba I love all kinds of music!!!

My favorite when I chose Turkish Flavor/Style music is
Fikret Kizilok Bu Kalp Seni Unuturmu.....Erdinc is going to send me a link so that I can download the group and that one particular song. I wish I could also get the lyrics in both Turkish and English a dear friend sent me the download and my PC crashed so I lost all my files including Fikret Kizilok Bu Kalp Seni Unuturmu. If anyone else has info please share as I would love to know and others who have never heard will love this
duo. I was told the song is called Does this Heart forget you?

And this may sound crazy but the first post got me thinking of how I would blow of steam after a hard day at work, when I use to waitress and it was a high stress job I would come home and listen to Eminem and some of his songs are hard core but it really relaxed me later as I listened I would Rapp along with the song and I could really flow well. I love Rapp except for the raunchy stuff.
I like all music such as lite rock and Love songs and more not really into the Heavy metal music. In the first post Attila mentioned songs to throw you over the edge suicidal almost but I listen to music for a total different feeling than such. If a certain song made me feel that way I would chose another song.

Take Care
Peace

when my babe send me the lyrics of this song i felt better bout being far away from him..very touching it made me cry!

Artist: 3 Doors Down
Album: Another 700 Miles
Title: Here Without You

A hundred days had made me older since the last time that I saw your pretty face
A thousand lights had made me colder and I don’t think I can look at this the same
But all the miles had separate
They disappeared now when I’m dreaming of your face

I’m here without you baby but your still on my lonely mind
I think about you baby and I dream about you all the time
I’m here without you baby but your still with me in my dreams
And tonight it’s only you and me

The miles just keep rolling as the people either way to say hello
I hear this life is overrated but I hope it gets better as we go

I’m here without you baby but your still on my lonely mind
I think about you baby and I dream about you all the time
I’m here without you baby but your still with me in my dreams
And tonight girl it’s only you and me

Everything I know, and anywhere I go
it gets hard but it won’t take away my love
And when the last one falls, when it’s all said and done
it get hard but it won’t take away my love

I’m here without you baby but your still on my lonely mind
I think about you baby and I dream about you all the time
I’m here without you baby but your still with me in my dreams
And tonight girl it’s only you and me

I’m here without you baby but your still on my lonely mind
I think about you baby and I dream about you all the time
I’m here without you baby but your still with me in my dreams
but tonight girl it’s only you and me

"Arkadaş" by Melike Demirağ is the last song which touched me to the bottom of the heart, with both music and lyrics.

I have a couple, but these are the first that come to mind:

- "Unfinished Sympathy" by Massive Attack
- "Sometimes it snows in April" by Prince

If you feel depressed and feel like wallowing in your grief, put one of those on. But don't say I haven't warned you!
