marriage should not be sth. someone feels forced into when they come to a certain age.. first, one should get their life on track, marriage should just be an extra... and a way to feel closer to the one that u love

Marriage is ..... mmmmmm difficult question and perhaps impossible to define since it is different experience for everyone.
I should say that if it works it can be wonderful - if it doesn't - well then it can be very sad and lonely
I don't know many couples who are truly happily married.

Here is the definition for marriage: legal relationship between spouses.

But for the symbolic meaning of marriage, what it means to the persons who are in it.. only they understand. And that is exactly why they got married.

Marriage - I married at 20 and am still married 29 years later! But that does not mean to say that I have always been happy. Sometime it has bored the pants of me. I went through periods where I was close to having affairs.

I like Sophies philosophy - if only it had worked for me then my whole life might have been so different. I am happy with my life now and other things make up for me when I am not so happy.

No one is ever going to be 100% happy all the time and you cant tell me that you dont have a look around either!

I always say "you dont look at the dead trees in a forest, you look at the young healty ones"

Explanation of Marriage

The child was a typical four-year-old girl - cute, inquisitive, bright as a new penny. When she expressed difficulty in grasping the concept of marriage, her father decided to pull out his wedding photo album, thinking visual images would help.

One page after another, he pointed out the bride arriving at the church, the entrance, the wedding ceremony, the recessional, the reception, etc.

"Now do you understand?" he asked.

"I think so," she said, "is that when mommy came to work for us?"
