Sorry to say but people on this forum often don't care whatsoever about cultural posts so it's pretty natural to appreciate interest, degil mi?

You are on this site as well. Does this generalization include you as well?

Very good point, I think it's enough of preaching here and "culturalizing" everybody.

I already answered that. And I was merely stating that people rarely reply to culture related topics (which is a simple fact, it's got nothing to do with preaching ot "culturalizing", hell, people can be interested in whatever they'd like), apparently unless it's for bashing people.

Azade,
If you think GREENPEACE is a cultural topic, I think you should know that GREENPEACE is classified under '' covert operations''.

to ROSWITHA=

I know what Green peace is, but the article is not about that per say, it's about a model of "Noah's ark" which is something that people can go see.

This might be a stupid question, but why are greenpeace making a replica of the ark?

I have to ask what you consider "culture"? I mean there is a hip-hop culture, fashion culture, new age culture etc. etc. Culture is such a broad definition and who and what is culture is debateable.

When 'Tango' music first came out, the affluent Argentines turned their noses up at it. After it went and became famous in Europe, it was accepted. Now it is showcased at argentine cultural shows and is the national dance. So, I think you might find that "people" on this site are indeed interested in culture. Just maybe not the same stuff you are interested in.

I dont see it as cultural either - just a statement from Greenpeace about climate change but I think there are more effective ways to demonstrate, like bricking up the doors of the White House with all the US government inside lol_fast: !! Nice project for the Turkish carpenters tho' !! :

Cultur, in its broadest sense, is the ability to be aware. If your awareness allows you to believe innocent carpenters are happily building an ark on Mt. Ararat......so be it !

Look I really don't think it's funny that my every word has to be analyzed into pieces so it can be used against me. There are so many definitions of culture and it's a very broad word today, so I still stand by what I said in the first place. Just take a look at past topics, those who relate to culture or anything similar are often more or less overlooked. And it wasn't a negative statement that I made obviously, it was simply an explanation as to why the author of the thread was thankful that someone replied.

Just take a look at this thread, even. People are more busy nagging than actually caring about what it was about in the first place. Does nobody have anything to say about the original topic?
