Hi All,

I am glad that my friend found this forum. It's great and very much helpfull. I have already picked up few grammar topics to go through!
I have a specific problem though. I am working at the moment in a trust company, we provide custodial services to our cliants. I am planning to move to Turkey next year, Istanbul, and I would really appreciate an advice where I can find sutable vocab for my job:trade, transaction, settle a trade, allege to, instruct, reconciliation, transfer securities, etc.
Maybe someone who is a member of this forum works in a settlement department in a bank in Turkey and could guide me?

Selamlar!

Katarzyna Joanna

I think it's far from being funny.

The thread starter asked what and femme_fatal you said what. This forum is not your playground.

I dont know if somethign else specific happened between FF and the starter of this thread, but in any case I find this far from funny and am very surprised with the persons who think this is funny.

-- And for what it matters. Qdemir got accused by some people of posting things that had nothing to do with the subject. I agreed with them. But if they really meant what they said, they would not post this themselves.

nothing happent between me and the kj. stop guessing it. did you also become a psycho-analist?
if not me her thread would be dead, just saving it. am i not a good-hearted person here?
qdemir must be accused not only for getting astray but making fantasies about people he doesnt know.

If you want to accuse him that bad, just open a personal thread to accuse Qdemir. I think there are quite some people who would like to join you on that one, so go ahead. No need in posting these nonsense in other peoples threads who did not ask for such a violent reply.

And I am not a psycho-analyst. Telling what I think (something you seem to be very fond of), has nothign to do with psycho-analysis. Im 19 years old, who am I to analyse you? Im just responding on what I see and of which I think is wrong. Can't you stand a bit of criticism?

hello
i kinda not fond of starting a new thread. well, if i felt so bad about that maybe i would start it, but thought maybe its not worth. on other hand its kinda weird openin a thread titled a personal accusation.
where do you see a violent reply?
its good that you are not a psycho-analyst, because im sort of tired such things (other than that you built your opinion on the persons posts), like pretending a super wise person, while everything shows exact the opposite).
eeee, not all the time i can stand the criticism, im a human being, think/
btw, why did it hurt you so much that you popped up in the deffence of kj?

Im not sure what you were trying to say, which is probably because English isnt the native language of the both of us.

Anyhow, I dont think it is worth to discuss with you, because you too, dont seem to understand what I am trying to say.

And just so you know, I dont think I am wise. Because I keep responding to your posts.

No I am not. And Im sorry you misunderstand my intentions. I wont put you in a right place, because I dont have the right to do so. But I do have the right to say when I think you do something wrong. Whatever you do with what I say, is up to you, not up to me.

And I know English is the best sollution, but not to cause misunderstanding, İ didnt really reply to what you said because I couldnt fully understand you.

Hi Müjde,

This is really a müjde as I thought nobody would give me a hand in this subject. Thanks a lot.
Well, my first questions is: how should I say:

The trade has settled in Euroclear.
We are instructing to Euroclear.
We are alleging to Euroclear.
(alleging and instructing means the same in this case)

settlement date
trade date
counterparty
clearing agent
equity
security
corporate bond
government bond
maturity

This is all very specific what i have in mind as this is my every day language I use in work.

I would appreciate any help at all for those ones.

K.J.

Good question egyptian_tomb. I think the 2nd 3rd 4th posts in this thread were totally out of order.

On behalf of 'Ghost' (!) I do apologise if my "praise" of Femme-Fatal's post seemed heartless. I should explain that Femme's post was in NO WAY anything to do with the writer of the thread, but actually was mocking comments made by another member here about Femme and Poland. It was an ironic comment, but agree it seemed rude.

I realise now that it could be mistaken that we were mocking the originator of the thread, and apologise
