Yes I agree. It can be hard to get hold of, though!

Only one copy in stock at Amazon means if two of us want it we have to fight , and often even they dont have any in. It was published 6 years ago, and often the UK distributor is out of stock. But AlphaF is right: it is a little known GEM of a book

Marion,

I understand you are in book businnes. If you can i)get hold of used copies of these three books, ii) confirm that they are available thru my private mail, iii) also letting me have the address of the shop - all before Aug.23, 2007-
you will have a strangely bearded, charming customer making his presence in your shop, between Aug.24 - Aug.28.

He will be ready to buy the books, obviously at reasonable prices. He takes coffee, black.

Hi Alpha, I will send you the details you want. We are a bookshop in Turkey and the law makes a distinction between shops selling new books and sahaf (secondhand). We dont have a licence for sahaf, so sorry cant help you with used books ... but, we have over 400 different titles on Turkey you may like to browse (no obligation to buy!!)

Ill remember the coffee: do you take sugar?

TO: MARION

Turkish Government need not know exact details of private transactions between yourself and all the bearded gentlemen .

I was hoping you would use your experience and expertise to order these books from Amazon and hide them behind the desk, until the bearded one comes to claim them.

The worst that can happen, if he does not live up to his word, is that you will end up as the proud owner of three slightly battered but wonderful books.

Pls confirm, as requested.....if this makes sense to you.

Keep well.

Probably stating the obvious here, but why don't you buy the books from Amazon yourself...

Hi AlphaF

I was going to same the same thing as aenigma, but in a customer-friendly polite way!

If we order from Amazon, we pay the high shipping charges into Turkey, and then high customs charges. If you order direct you may have lower shipping costs (free if in UK or US) and probably no customs - but I don't know where in the world you live as your Profile keeps this secret.

Just in case you were wondering, we order new books for UK publsihers at trade discount, ship them over once a month in batches of 50 to 100 boxes, so the shipping costs and customs cost per book are low. That works out a much better deal for us than getting a few books at a time off Amazon.

Still happy to give you a free coffee when you come, though...
