Hi All,

Like many people here, I mostly type in English but have enough of a need for Türkçe characters that I need a way of easily typing them. But equally I do not want to have to change keyboards or upset my standard English keyboard layout. So I have created a customised keyboard layout which I have been testing for a few days and find pretty easy to use.

If anyone else wants to use it - help yourself.......
There is information about how to download it and install it on this page. It does not remove any of your existing key options from the standard English keyboard layout so there is no need to swap between keyboard layouts

This is based on the standard English (UK) keyboard layout. Assuming that people find it works OK and there is enough interest then I can make the same sort of thing based around the English (US) keyboard layout.

The extra characters that it easily provides are:
â  ç Ç é É ğ Ğ ı İ Ã® ÃŽ ö Ö ş Ş Ã¼ Ü û Ü
of course the most used ones will be:
ç Ç ğ Ğ ı İ Ã¶ Ö ş Ş Ã¼ Ü

Hope this proves useful to people

Türkçe Keyboard Layout

Genius Bod - I have just installed this. You are an angel! (or should I say an evil fairy?) I used to switch between keyboard layouts - but what you have just provided is so much simpler! It is perfect! Thank you very very much. I recommend it to others - it's great!

I'd be interested in a US English keyboard layout.

OK - no problem.
Give it few days so that people can try out the UK English one and see if they can suggest any improvements. Then I will have a go at creating a US English version.

Have you tried just going to ´Regional and Languages´ under ´Control Panel´ on your pc and adding Turkish to your languages?
