Also this..

"Based on the drilling completed to date, the board is confident in setting a target of identifying an iron ore..."

"the drilling completed to date"...????

What is the function/meaning of the "to" here?

Hell! I am not very technical but...

fe is iron.

"intercepts grading around 58%Fe"

This phrase seems to be used when drilling for iron. Maybe it is the percentage of iron found when drilling

Sorry for my ignorance

Ahh this one is easy.

"To date" is commonly used. It means "up until now" ... or "until today's date"

for example,
"Translator has not, to date, posted anything funny" or...
"Based on your translations completed to date, I assume you are doing well in your job"

I just noticed I didn't answer your question fully

Intercept - definition is:-
To stop, deflect, or interrupt the progress or intended course of.

EXAMPLE:
Moderators INTERCEPT any attempt to argue about religion on forums

However, unfortunately I dont know its meaning when you are referring to mining.

Aenigma - many many thanks, thanks a million, thank you million times for your prompt help for the second question. But also shame, still million times, on you that you didn't give me any appropriate idea about my first question!

So, do you think it is something related to the purity of iron (ore). Like "a RC drilling program has revealed that the purity of iron is 58%"? Something like this??? Possible??

Anyway, I do appreciate your help, and ı am very grateful to you.

THANK YOU!

Yes I do think its related to purity of iron or...the percentage of iron found in the area drilled. I am sorry I couldn't help with your first question ama....I am not an engineer specialising in mining

I just checked some mining websites and it seems that the percentage figure IS the purity. 58% Fe appears to be a very good quality of iron ore.

Hope it helps.

What exactly is this new job? The reason I ask is that you are suddenly talking like a resort waiter!

Flattered as I, undoubtably, am by your "proposal" I will have to decline as I am engaged to a strapping iron ore miner

Ehi!

Yes, yes, because you sounded a beautiful british blonde so ready and willing to offer that resort waiter to eat an ice-cream together in the sunset at the beach.

Ehi!
