For me i prefer romatic movies, but not classical romance
? mean i HATE sad endings
For example i love...

It is hard to make a choice, but let say:

Breaking the waves-L.von Trier
Cries and whispers-Ingmar Bergman
Le fille sur le pont-Patrice Leconte
In the mood for love-Wong Kar Wai
Autmn sonate-I.Bergman
Jules et Jim-F.Truffaut
Satan tango-Bela Tarr
Lilja 4 ever-Lukas Moodysson
Trois couleurs-K.kieslowski
La notte-M.Antonioni
Solaris-Tarkovski
Gaspar Noe-Irreversible

but how can you make a list and not to mention Mike Leigh,Cassavetes,Eli Kazan,Fassbinder,Jean pierre Jeunet,Inarritu,Visconti,Allen,Bunel,..hard choice

Not exactly a great movie, but entertaining enough.
"About a boy" with Hugh Grant.

Comes to mind only because it seems thats how I've been living my life the last couple months. Minus the pretending I had a teenage son part of course....
