A BIG LOSS FOR TURKEY

Pavarotti's student Hakan Aysev, known as “Turkey's Pavarotti,†said that Pavarotti's death is a loss for humanity. “He is a legend. He was a great person,†said Aysev.

Pavarotti had the most amazing voice I have ever heard. I always get goosebumps hearing him sing.

Let's not get Pavarotti out of context! He certainly DID NOT have the greatest voice in the world, he was not the best tenor. He was also a rather unpleasant man, particularly in his later years.
However, he did bring opera to the "masses" so he deserves credit for that.
He is the most well known tenor in the world maybe..but certainly not the greatest

I am talking about the fact that he is Italian, so is he a national hero for you too as Ataturk is for Turkey?

Knew him personally did you? I thought he was fat and ugly but I loved his voice! Listen rather than watch sort of chap
