Pavarotti's student Hakan Aysev, known as “Turkey's Pavarotti,” said that Pavarotti's death is a loss for humanity. “He is a legend. He was a great person,” said Aysev.

Pavarotti had the most amazing voice I have ever heard. I always get goosebumps hearing him sing.

Let's not get Pavarotti out of context! He certainly DID NOT have the greatest voice in the world, he was not the best tenor. He was also a rather unpleasant man, particularly in his later years.

However, he did bring opera to the "masses" so he deserves credit for that.

He is the most well known tenor in the world maybe..but certainly not the greatest

my .02 cents .. lol ..

why we like him?

Pavarotti was described by Connie Chung as "the opera star with the bad boy charisma." We're not quite sure why she refered to him as such, but we appreciate the fact that, in his lifetime, he helped bridge the gap between classical and popular music.

why is he famous?

Luciano Pavarotti was the most popular artist in the history of the classical recording industry. As a member of the Three Tenors, the Maestro's name became a household word, and he also performed with a broad range of pop, rock and jazz

Well - as I said, there were far better tenors in the world than him - but if you loved his voice ,that's nice

No didn't know him personally, but its well known that he was self-obsessed and rude to most people around him! I wouldn't have said he was ugly...

As far as I remember, today is the only day that I have so far posted a message as a reply to yours. Now lets see what you forgot to write in your previous post:

Hmmmmm let me just get this straight. We have a total of 2.5 hours of Pagliaccio's speeches, an hour's speech by Libralady, 1.5 hours of Bod's fashion show, 2 hours of songs by Gezebelle and Girleegirl....and 1 minute for my dance show?

Hmmmmmm the saying springs to mind "its quality, not quantity" that matters

That's not fair at all, Aenigma. To throw eggs at someone on the stage is one thing, to decide not to help somebody anymore is another! You can't threaten me with not supplying help anymore. No, you can't! I say you can't, Aenigma! You can't be cruel that much! No, you can't! Noooooooooo!
