Youre not the first to only link that to my username. Its sort of a shame really.
Not to mention him at all would be denying a big part of my life, but I must be blinded by love to have thought I dont talk too much about him.

But who cares. If it wasnt for him, I wouldve never joined this website So count yourselves lucky.

But Im hoping that now that I started university, I will be able to once be remembered as someone who actually posted something valuable

what a nice topic to get involved

my favorite is, of course, CANLI
shes a typical woman of the middle east, a product of the religious eastern society. possibly never been outside of muslim countries, and all her knowledge about the other countries is gained from the filtrated and censored mass media (and local education system). she gives out her opinion about the west without a single doubt (which i shouldnt criticise) if the sources she relied on were true. and she protects her religion (automatically) without a single doubt (like a machine) even when her religion humiliates women.
there are millions of them that have no idea of how others live, never wanted to see, to touch the other world rejecting all, closed in their matrix. repeating slogans (never checked) like a parrot after their religious authorities. accusing 'others' for being not open to them meanwhile themselves living in a hermeutically canned 'with no refresh' communities.

ready to receive all accusations for being "intolerant" or "insulting" again

tries to be open-minded, modern, cool, even declared himself a feminist. but, hmmm, works not for now, i can easily smell his eastern mentality
not brave enough to say: 'hey, im free to say anything against the society!'

KeithL, pretends to be a turk, hmmm, and it works not bad actually i've been thinking he was a turk.
often neutral, sometimes is not strong enough to stand up for his viewpoints

tea
is a typical american, a religious catholic, but has no a strong base to defend the existence of GOD

well, you wanted.
you're extremely intelligent, got a super sense of humor,
often not brave to speak up your mind in the sake of a new european god called tolerance.
always looking for entertainment, for which you even sacrifice your viewpoints, changing camps each hour.

....

Well I guess that's pretty fair (except the EXTREMELY intelligent part) lol

However...I never sacrifice my viewpoints. I just keep my views open and am happy to change them. There are certain things that I have VERY strong, unbending views on, but I have learned that shouting them at others really does nothing to change anything. If someone shouts at YOU, will it make you change YOUR mind?

a great turkish female i ever had a chance to meet on TC.
not many turkish girls appear on the internet, if they appear they are sort of opinionless, but this girl has balls to speak up her super thoughts in a beatiful wording adding her strong character!
a great respect to a great turkish woman!

you cant stand my opinion? you wanted it. whats the matter with you? do you need to defend yourself?
the thing is that you cant stand criticism.
you are unstable changing camps each hour, (camps are ideoligies), cant trust you.
you love when people speak only sweet things about you.
you cant live in this illusion, can you?
if you cannot bear the criticism then dont ask for opinions (esp. mine).

are you ok now?
you still love me tender?

i've always wanted to say a few words on ayla
an interesting person, the only israeli on TC
taking care of arab children, astonishing!
a person who never got tempted to participate in discussions on politics and religions here on TC (along with fatih) although i was always curious about her opinions.
dont know much about ayla, but the only thing that she works for arab children makes me pay a great respect towards her.

Thank you femme and Sunny,
Well, I'm here to improve my Turkish and help others if I can, not to be the Israeli ambassador in Turkish Class
As for working with Arab children, as a child psychologist working in a mixed Jewish-Arab city, when you treat someone, s/he is not a "Jewish" or an "Arab", but a child in need, a mother who needs help, or a teacher who needs guidance. And I'm not alone, there are many of us where I come from...

thank you
i know you are not the ambassador of israel in TC and me neither an ambassador of my country tho im the only one here too
just imagine what would people think about my country if i were the ambassador
good you've hilighted the importance of children themselves without dividing them into arabs and jews (i prefectly knew your answer would be this, i expected others say so, but they didnt).
i know many other jewish women (they must be a bit crazy) going out to palestine to help arab women, to educate them, to teach them how to start business, so they wouldnt live a miserable life relying on their husbands who are constantly jobless. and some of them succeeded, improved their life conditions.
i think its an excellent example of approaching other people about which we dont hear from our mass media, unfortunately.
feel free not to respond
i know you've hesitated a bit before thanking me and sunny

I am always in awe of the women of TC. No matter were we are from or what we believe, we are diverse yet somehow bound by Turkish Language and Culture. I always enjoy coming here and reading your opinions. For the few I have had actual contact with, I have this to say:

Femme - uncompromising and brave - I think we are from totally different worlds so I always enjoy seeing the world thru her eyes.
Aenigma - articulate and intelligent - makes me laugh almost everyday and has wonderful taste in fashion!!
Ayla - helpful - did a translation for me when I was separated from my husband for 7 months due to a Visa issue. It was a beautiful letter he wrote for me in Turkish and it was WAY OVER MY HEAD. Those were hard times and she helped.
Roswitha - sweet - for anyone who knows her, she is a delight and so knowledgeable.
Lovebug - curious & friendly - we have quite a bit in common
Trudy - Helpful and the best damn Turkish tour guide EVER!! I love your insights about Turkey and your Essays.

For the ones that I have admired from afar: I have always enjoyed reading posts from Catwoman, Libralady, CANLI, Deli Kizin, Teaschip.....
Gosh, I can't think of anymore...
