I like to relax by reading a few chapters of a book after I get home from work....
or on occasion with some type of alcholic beverage

try to find a tree to look at and rest my eyes by watching green.
it is very relaxing.
also make a little massage to my eyes.
then drink a strong cofee.
then reopen my eyes.

I have found that the best way to relax (especially if you sit at a desk all day) is to go for a long evening walk . I love walking after work along the beach

i donno if u can do it but i do lie down on the pillows and smoke nargile while watching the sky n stars but its getting cold in istanbul or u can just turn lights off but only candels and a nice music that makes you think about nothing, and if u have someone to massage you that would be great

When in Turkey I used to do as Turquoise and Aenigma suggested, smoking nargileh and watching the sky, or making a long walk near the beach. These two have become impossible now, but taking some time to make myself some nice tea and drinking it listening to my favourite music,or talk with my mum does the trick too.

And during the weekends with friends to the İrish pub for a good pint or something stronger ofcourse

Hehehe this made me laugh. Much as I love my mum, talking with her is NEVER relaxing! She talks too much and nags me!

"...and did you remember to make that appointment, and have you been eating properly, and are you sleeping enough, and dont drive so fast you worry me, and cut your hair, and I hope you are not smoking....." blah blah blah Zzzzzzzzz lol

I had the same until I left for a year and realised how much I had missed her

I considered buying one, but then came to the thought it would only lead to a disappointment, having no-one to smoke it with, and not a splendid view to watch.

So I decided to keep it sort of special I miss it, but thinking of everything together, its the nargile I miss least.

What is this 'relax' of which you speak???

When I get home from work I try and learn more Turkish, write more code for our school's website and, if time and money allows, I go out and dance and dance and dance!!!

At the time I get tired I keep going for a bit then crawl to bed ready to repeat the same routine the next day

Cooking is my hobby. I love to come home and cook a wonderful meal and then sit and enjoy it with my husband and son. I find it very relaxing to be in my kitchen and to create a wonderful meal from raw ingredients.

I don't know what people do in Turkey or the UK much, but in the USA the most common ways to relax are to:
1. Take a hot bath. Maybe with some sort of herbal soaps?
(It's not just girly. believe me, I'm not girly and I still enjoy it..when I have money to spare...)
2. I agree with others, take a stroll away from the busy places and away from others altogether, or at least very few, and say on a beach, in a park, (or I'd love to in ruins, lol. though I doubt I'll soon be near any)
3. Say, like others have said, read a book in a quiet place.
Mostly, you just need to find quiet places doing something small that takes little effort and that you enjoy.
As for me, i have no time nor money to relax, even in my short slumber I do not relax, unless 5 minutes counts, lol. This IS my relaxing!
