i heard there is an age turkish men must join the military by...could anyone tell me what age that is?

You can postpone it if you are studying but after you graduate , you have to do it anyway and serve for a few months , I think 6 .
Tukish members can be more exact on this.

I think it's 35/40 maximum 40 but I think some of the natives will know better than I.

Can be called up any time after age 18. If you are in full time education you can postpone it until after you graduate. For this reason, many people do a part time masters while they are working and postpone it even more.

My boyfriend is turkish, and he finally finished the army service after 15 months at the end of last August. Even though I'm not very sure at this moment, I think he told me once that they must go to the army before being 30 years old.

After 18 year old, Military service call to army. but if you are student at that time u can delay it during ur education. and if u start another school, u can delay it again. when u are student, school inform military servise every year that u are still a student in this school. after u finish ur education school inform military servise and they call u to army. if u are graduated from a universty (it has to be 4 years), you have 2 options. one is 6 months as a soldier. other one is 12 months as a Unter leutnant and u get salary from governemt. but if u are graduated from high school. there is only one option 15 months as a soldier.

Yes, it is totally true..Also there is a way to do military obligatinon..If person works in abroad at least 3 years(with work permisson),he can do his military service with money(approximately 5112 euro) and he can do his service only for 21 days..
