Following is a poster from Germany. It basicially tells Turkish and Arab guys in German to stay away from German girls who are tired of their assaults. Well, it seems that does not happen only in taksim square in istanbul.

Oh dear zbrct, you will upset the "western wives of Turkish men" club and be accused of impartiality and insulting Turkishness

How bizarre...I don't read German very well but it seems a rather insulting poster. I think German girls can take care of themselves.

I think this is a conflict of two cultures.

If you watch the movie "Head on (Gegen die Wand)" by Fatih Akin, you know that the Turkish guys want their wives to be decent but they at the same time talking about going to a brothel. So, I can understand why the German girls are annoyed.

But, we should also see the hidden nationalism in the message of the poster.

Here is the contents for those who can read German:

Mach mich nicht an, Ali!
Mir reicht es langsam.
Überall das gleiche Bild.
Die Moslems verhüllen ihre eigenen Mädchen
mit Tüchern und die deutschen Mädchen betrachten
sie als Freiwild.
Nicht mit mir!
Ich wehre mich gegen eine intolerante und
frauenfeindliche Religion wie sie der Islam
verkörpert. In Deutschland ist kein Platz für
Zwangsheirat und Ehrenmorde

OK Roswitha....this is what I think it says...please correct me if I am wrong....I have not spoken German in many years.

Everywhere the same picture. The Muslims veil their own girls with cloths and the German girls are regarded as free game. Not with me! I resist an intolerant and mysogonistic (sp?) religion that Islam embodies. Germany is no place for arranged marriages or honour murders

FATIH AKIN:
Fatih Akin's thrilling drama "Head-On" starts out loud and ugly. 40-year-old Turkish-German Cahit (Birol Unell) is intentionally self-destructing. He snorts coke, drinks himself sick, and picks a nasty fight in a dark, dirty punk bar. He drives his car straight into a concrete wall. These opening scenes are an assault to the senses.
Cahit's accident lands him in a mental institution where he meets beautiful, young Sibel (Sibel Kekilli), also Turkish-German, also the survivor of a botched suicide attempt. Otherwise, Sibel knows nothing about him. "You should marry me," she says as a way of introduction, pulling on his sleeve. Cahit barely acknowledges the gorgeous girl. But Sibel needs a legitimate escape from her overbearing family, and she pursues Cahit until he relents.http://worldfilm.about.com/od/germanfilms/fr/headon.htm
