FATIH AKIN:
Fatih Akin's thrilling drama "Head-On" starts out loud and ugly. 40-year-old Turkish-German Cahit (Birol Unell) is intentionally self-destructing. He snorts coke, drinks himself sick, and picks a nasty fight in a dark, dirty punk bar. He drives his car straight into a concrete wall. These opening scenes are an assault to the senses.
Cahit's accident lands him in a mental institution where he meets beautiful, young Sibel (Sibel Kekilli), also Turkish-German, also the survivor of a botched suicide attempt. Otherwise, Sibel knows nothing about him. "You should marry me," she says as a way of introduction, pulling on his sleeve. Cahit barely acknowledges the gorgeous girl. But Sibel needs a legitimate escape from her overbearing family, and she pursues Cahit until he relents.http://worldfilm.about.com/od/germanfilms/fr/headon.htm

I wasnt really sure what to say when i read this. Surely these women don't need a campaign to help them out if they don't like the advances of any man they can tell him where to go.The same goes for a male who was recieving unwanted 'come on's from a woman. I was also left wondering why the poster was only aimed at these groups of males and why these women seemingly didnt mind recieving an endless number of advances from German men or as the 'feel' of the poster seems to transmit all be it covertly.
I don't know what to think really because then i am left thinking that these women have every right to refuse a man and even tell him in no uncertain terms if he is proving to be a pain in the behind but i can't help thinking that perhaps this wasnt the best medium to choose and what about the women who don't agree with the posters sentiments, what do they do?

I agree with Elizabeth as well.

"Die Moslems verhüllen ihre eigenen Mädchen mit Tüchern und die deutsche Mädchen betrachten sie als freiwild [...]" - what kind of ignorant crap is that this is really familar to me unfortunately we have the same kind of political party in my country as well

Quoting kaddersokak:

I think this is a conflict of two cultures.

If you watch the movie "Head on (Gegen die Wand)" by Fatih Akin, you know that the Turkish guys want their wives to be decent but they at the same time talking about going to a brothel. So, I can understand why the German girls are annoyed.

But, we should also see the hidden nationalism in the message of the poster.
