Quoting salukvadze: its because of wrong conjugation...here is the correct conjugation:
iyiyim
iyisin
iyi (not also iyidir)
iyiyiz
iyisiniz
iyiler
-dir is not only for 3rd person and can be added to each:
iyiyimdir
iyisindir
iyidir
iyiyizdir
iyisinizdir
iyilerdir
even though they all make sense, 1st person rearly used, 2nd person often used, and 3rd person very often used. |
Thanks for helping out guys, but I still don't get it. WHY is it used? You can tell me if you think I'm stupid or slow in understanding, I'm not easily insulted
But really, I still don't know the reason why it is used..

Instead of "why" I mean "when", of course. "When" as in "in which situation".
"Why" could turn this into a philosophical thing, and that is not my intention

I think the suffix -dir sometimes implies a strong possibility, a wish etc.
inşallah kızmamışsınDIR = Kızmamış olma ihtimalini umuyorum(a Wish)
More examples:
öğrencisindir herhalde. (strong possibility)
Q: Sence Ayşe yılbaşı partisine gidecek mi?
A: Gidecektir herhalde. (strong possibility)
