Are months in turkish written with a capital?

Yani

Ben 26 ağustos ayında gittim.
Ben 26 Ağustos ayında gittim.

As far as I know, the tames of months begin with capital letters, what I've not seen consistently used is the apostrophe after the names of months, but I think using the apostrophe is the right way

According to This Lesson the first letter of a month is a capital.

26 Ağustosta gittim sounds better or

Ben Ağustosun 26'sında gittim

Ben ağustosta gittim / Ben ağustos ayında gittim

According to Teach Yourself Beginner's Turkish you do not use capitals for days of the week or months unless it is an important festival. So today would just be on dokuz ocak.

No, "On Dokuz Ocak" or On Dokuz Ocak Salı

or just "ocak" , just "salı"
