This article is published by Türk Dil Kurumu, telling the thoughts of people against the reforms. Some paragrafs later, Zeynep Korkmaz (the author), explains why these people were wrong! So if you would please translate this, I can also understand why she thinks they are wrong.
I have now read about a 100 pages written from her hand for the TDK, and I can say that in all articles her deep devotion for atatürk and his reforms, especially the dil reform, comes through very clear.

You are correct in saying that pieces from a whole may give the wrong idea of the whole...
It may have been an unfortunate piece....
