For Alameda to say that we are a "dying race" is a joke!! We are just practising contraception and being responsible!

You are so disparaging of people's contributions.

The UK is so "responsible" it has the highest teenage birth rate in Europe, and the highest abortion rate too! What a strain that puts on our midwives (when they're not dealing with immigrant births and babies of course, which you have mentioned).

C'mon you feminists! Stop waiting until you're thirty somethings with all the trappings (the 'trappings' and the need to be equal to men being the real reason many wait). If you don't get a move on you will be outnumbered by immigrants and indigenous adults born in poor socio economic backgrounds. Then where will you be?
FINAL PARAGRAPH PURELY MISCHIEF MAKING ON MY PART OF COURSE

Don’t get me wrong, the NHS can be a brilliant service, but it’s managed by government morons who probably go private anyway (don’t quote me on that )

You answer is to throw yet more money at the NHS! lol (Dont quote you? You quoted yourself silly!!!!!!)

I used the word "managed" with reference to the NHS overall, not just one partocular instance. You are very good at picking out one small part of someone's argument and then putting words into that person's mouth.

You know I mentioned prevention is better than cure, we would all agree. Even the government stresses this NOW. Why do you suppose that is? BECAUSE IT WILL SAVE MONEY!!!!! And you know this.

Why are you soooooooo disparaging (yes and I will keep repeating this)in your remarks when putting your point across. It has the effect of minimizing the value of your point.

Frankly, I've been wondering if it would be doing the EU a favor to have Turkey join. I'm not sure just what advantage it would have for Turkey.

Haven't the recent fires in Germany shown some light on things? European countries are dying out. For all their xenophobia, they can't even replace themselves in population. They need "new blood" in order to survive.

Also, I've been thinking about this "Nationalist" issue and questioning it. What is wrong with love of ones country? What is wrong with wanting to defend ones country? If you don't love and want to take care of your own country, what sort of benefit are you to another country? Isn't it your own home you take care of first?

Culture is an alive thing. It grows and constantly evolves. That is very evident here in the US when one meets people from whatever "old country" still having the culture and ideals of how it was when they left. It's like something frozen or immersed in formaldehyde.

I sincerely believe EU needs Turkey as much as Turkey needs EU. (Young population vs aging population; EU's need for works force in 15 years; historical reasons -Nato; being a former ally for so long-; big, strong vibrant economy; a bazaar for 80 million population; for political correctness-accepting bulgaria, why not Turkey?- etc)

But I want to touch this nationalism issue here.
Nationalism was the way grouping people during industrial revolution and right now, most of EU countries passed that point. It is one of the reason why nationalism is not strong in eu countries. And also they had the nationalism during WW II. They know how that war was interconnected with the nationalism and they are weary about it.

First of all "All nationalisms are dangerous for others"
Nationalism in the end loving some people more than the others.
It is bound to create its own enemies and its own opposites. (Kurdish nationalism in Turkey is a great example of that).

In terms of nationalism in Turkey, which boosts itself with the ideas like how superior turks were in the past, most of the time resulting in seeing themselves superior to the others, which itself is a kind of nut case!!

And many many cultured people (like 'Hrant Dink')

"The clean blood, which will replace the poisoned blood spilled from the Turk, exists in the noble vein of Armenia founded by Armenians.

Hrant Dink"

Yes come on you silly women. Stop wanting careers and better lives. Stop planning ahead for your children. For goodness sake get out there and get yourself pregnant!!! Being a mother and housewife is what you were created for! Nevermind if you can afford to raise a child, or if you have a career...the government will take care of you
