Anyways, let's stop talking about Ataturk, I'm tired of him. It's more then enough to see his face everywhere you turn in TR..

2- are you admin of this site to stop this topic?
3-have you got a power to abolish Mustafa Kemal Atatürk from our hearts?
4- are you frightened from his nobility?

Hi Cat - although I see your point, I should think by now you would have learned not to say something like "it's enough to see his face everywhere...." This is bound to cause hurt among some Turks.
I am not a Turk (as in born a Turk) although I do have citizenship. I also feel that sometimes Ataturk's presence is overwhelming in some respect, but I don't phrase quite so bluntly.
Being polite does not infringe your freedom of speech, but speaking ones thoughts freely and respectfully is the ultimate tolerance of peace. I am not starting an argument here, but I can sympathise with senstive reactions to your last sentence on Ataturk.
I think when you (pl) live here in Turkey for so long and live among the complexities of this society you can see why I have replied to you the way I have.
I felt I had too (respectfully and in peace Cat). I hope you can understand my point and I do not wish to offend you in anyway, and I love freedom of speech but alongside gentleness.

Your education did a good job in brainwashing you! You are programmed to defend - even when there is no attack

Ataturk was only human. Funny, some Americans thought he was a God !
Well ! How would you old ladies here know? You probably never met a god yet !
