Let's see..well when the book is going for a $1.98 it must be true... Also, I happen to believe everything that Zsa Zsa says...Didn't you know it's against Article 305 here to speak out against her?

The Pasha and the gypsy
The death of Atatürk, says Zsa Zsa, marked the beginning of the end for her life in Ankara. Burhan was distraught. When she tried to express her sympathy, he turned his back and walked away. Soon she lost another friend when, early in 1939, Sir Percy Loraine left Turkey and became ambassador to Fascist Italy. For the Loraines, Rome was a far more important posting than Ankara. Nobody expected the peace to last much longer, and the Foreign Office considered it vital to send someone of Loraine’s experience to deal with Mussolini.

For Zsa Zsa then, as so many times after, nothing became her marriage like the leaving of it. The “union,” of course, had never existed. She had stumbled upon a kindly but boring diplomat, she had teased him, and he had succumbed. Now she was older. As war enveloped Europe, Zsa Zsa realized once again that her life had to change. And yet, it couldn’t happen overnight. In coming decades Zsa Zsa would master the Art of the Lightning Divorce. The first time, however, was harder.

Even in the aftermath of Atatürk’s death, the round of diplomatic and equestrian life went on. Six months later, in May 1939, Zsa Zsa and Burhan traveled to London with a group of Turkish journalists, whose visit had been sponsored by the British Council. Once again the world of glamour and celebrity opened to Zsa Zsa. She had brought along her best Parisian clothes, and adorned with these she began to catch the eye of photographers.

Jewish Journal of Greater Los Angeles - She married a much older Turkish diplomat who took her off to Ankara, where Zsa Zsa made a great impression on the Turks (she was rumored to have had an affair with Kemal Ataturk, founder of the Turkish Republic). By 1939, Eva was in Hollywood

This is so intelligent that I'm not sure how to reply. lol

1. to convince you to stop the broken record

2. I made a polite request with very good intentions

3. your hearts are formalin preparations, you are too dumb to really follow Ataturk, sorry - that's what I think . you just use it as something to explain your simplistic view of the world

Hi Cat - although I see your point, I should think by now you would have learned not to say something like "it's enough to see his face everywhere...." This is bound to cause hurt among some Turks.

I am not a Turk (as in born a Turk) although I do have citizenship. I also feel that sometimes Ataturk's presence is overwhelming in some respect, but I don't phrase quite so bluntly.

Being polite does not infringe your freedom of speech, but speaking ones thoughts freely and respectfully is the ultimate tolerance of peace. I am not starting an argument here, but I can sympathise with senstive reactions to your last sentence on Ataturk.

I think when you (pl) live here in Turkey for so long and live among the complexities of this society you can see why I have replied to you the way I have.

I felt I had too (respectfully and in peace Cat). I hope you can understand my point and I do not wish to offend you in anyway, and I love freedom of speech but alongside gentleness.

At 40, you can only qualify for the attention of 66 years old gentlemen.
The formula is as follows:
A= Age of the gentleman
B= Age (maximum) of the lady who can interest that gentlemen

B= (A/2) + 7

Teaschip, I don't know if you actually know anyone's age or not, but it seems you are obsessed with age. There is no shame to be any age.

I must say I pity you IF you live long enough to actually be 61 years old, or more. Just remember what you say now, it could and very well may come back to haunt you.

Older and younger people have been known to be attracted to one another. Many young women find men in their 60's, or more, to be very attractive.

Paul Newman is in his 80's and still very attractive. Clint Eastwood is close to 80, Robert Redford is over 70, Sir Thomas Sean Connery 78, Michael Kirk Douglas 63, Al Pacino 67, Dustin Hoffman 71, Tom Selleck 63....need I go on.

I have not seen AlphaF start it, I have seen adonis mention of menopause and have been going to comment on it. I mention teaschip1's comment because she has done the same to me. As to what age or gender I am is nobody's business. If I choose to make an issue of it, so be it. I have not seen AlphaF make it an issue, so bringing it into the conversation to discredit opinions is IHMO out of line.

I only comment on what I see. I don't see everything. Even though I may be logged on for long periods of time, I'm not actually reading the forum posts most of that time. Sometimes I'm not even reading anything here, or in front of the computer at all. I follow the threads that interest me and am logged on so as to allow me to comment on them when time is available.

You must also be blind as a bat women..You obviously have a selected memory. So before you open your mouth and insert your foot, I suggest you look at some of Alphas post to me, you can start in this forum. I never bring up age unless someone else does. So don't you have anything better to do than mind your own business. Get a life Almedia...

She was Miss Hungarian, not Miss America.. I think it's ironic you call us old ladies. Considering your more than 20 years older than me.. lol

I doubt if you can show this racist approach to her face. She would sue you to your naked basics.

At 40, you can only qualify for the attention of 66 years old gentlemen.
The formula is as follows:
A= Age of the gentleman
B= Age (maximum) of the lady who can interest that gentlemen

B= (A/2) + 7

Racist approach? So she was not Miss Hungarian... I can see your math skill needs worked on.. Since you don't know my age..I'll use yours. Hopefully you can follow..ready get your specs on.

61 year old man with wife and son meets 30 year old girl on net = dirty old man and disaster. Do you comprehend this formula..I'm sure you do.

Oh Newman, Redford, Pacino, Hoffman . . .

ooo the solist of the band is here.

you don't know the meaning of "rancour" because you don't know English. take a dictionary and search that word. maybe you'll get it if your reading ability is not out of order because of the menopause.
