I am sorry to disappoint you, I wanted to respect the wishes of a fellow TLC member here and acted accordingly.

Ataturk would have embraced me for this:

Peace among TLC members is peace in the country.

Peace in the country is peace in the world.

Let's give Roswitha a big applause...That may motivate and encourage her.

Otherwise, I shall have to post a PKK song....

well i guess what we people need is not turkishclass.com but racelessclass.com, which will also help people learn turkish

and weird enough the mentality has already taugt people "self- or auto-censor"... that s what the state has taught people of turkey since 1938. and here also it works.. woow! congratulations "free-thinking" members of tc.

briefly the idea is so simple:
"talk about sun, sea and dudus... have your dudu sms translated and do nothing else!!!"

go on!

Aww you surprise me Alpha. Unfortunately I don't really know Rojin that well but I can recommend Rojda. She's also made a song which is semi-turkish: http://youtube.com/watch?v=T4H6j0-G9vY
This is the best song she's made though, it's really quite sad: http://youtube.com/watch?v=xY9zSdZKVUs

There are no contradictions in nature azade.
If you think you stumbled upon one and are surprised, you should check your initial assumptions - one or more of the assumptions must be wrong.

But you must admit it's unusual for a nationalist to appreciate any kurdish music. At least you're the first I've ever stumbled upon.

Kudos

I know, can't wait to see what she will come up with next. I'd love to see her do some songs with Koma Gulên Xerzan again.

I love Rojin. She has an amazing voice. Once I received a digital album from her, from a member of tc. Unforutantely İ lost it in a PC crash, but as soon as I get back to Turkey I will try and find it.

I can recommend Aynur as well. She sings both Kurdish and Turkish songs. I have an album, Nupel, and it has songlyrics in both kurdish and turkish translation in it.

Because you have been wrongly brainwashed to assume that nationalism and racism are identical....while one means loving one's nation, the other means loving one's etnic identity.

Someone can love one's nation in a positive way, but I call that yurtsever, as opposed to milliyetçi which I find damaging because of what it has done in Turkey and partly in my own native country as well, among others.

So I think it is about Diyar, there's a small piece here: http://hevallo.blogspot.com/2007/08/famous-kurdish-singer-detained-upon.html but it's not elaborate, anyone have more information on it?
