....u telling me that? remember u called her "he" as an intentional effort of degrading and a perfect example of disrespect to people's choices..

In regards to calling Bulent he or she. It's not that simple. In some cases people are born with undefined sexuality. With all the indigestible Hormone Disruptors currently in use we will be seing many more cases like this.

"What Are Hormone Disruptors?
Scientists believe that many synthetic chemicals act as endocrine disruptors, or hormone disruptors, interfering with our bodies' natural hormone systems and causing a wide array of health problems. Hormone disruptors often act by imitating our natural hormones. Our bodies are "fooled" by these toxins, which can bind to the same sites to which natural hormones bind, thereby altering, magnifying or blocking the function of the natural hormones."

Hormone disruptors can cause intersexuality, that is cases where the fetus develops having no determined gender, or both genders in one body.

Most all the time, doctors and society force the persons to choose a gender and implement that choice via hormone treatments and surgery instead of just accepting them as they are.

Alameda
You are making me smile here
It reminded me a film: I dont remember the name of it but B ersoy was the leading actor..In the movie, he was a pretty boy and he has this bad 'experience', inflicted by this huge ugly man (the rapist!).
And we all believe, it was her real life story! lol
Do not confuse us with Hormone Disruptors or anything..
Please

Yes, I'm sure Bulent had a very difficult life. Bulent is one of my favorite singers. Weren't there some problems in Adana?

On a more serious note, hormone disruptors are a serious and under noticed problem.

i agree with u Alameda. if Bülent Ersoy hadn't got a different sexual preference, the common interest to her sentences would have been less.

in general Bülent Ersoy is right, but the neo-liberals and supporters of pkk MUST NOT exploit the sentences of B. Ersoy.

all this uproar cos of her different sexual preference? well, the uproar is cos of the statement itself... (see the lynching campaign against ahmet kaya when he said he would compose a kurdish song in his next album...he was straight!!!)

and if u ask how the fascist harrassment and lynching campaign crying for blood of her is carried out, yes you r right then, all is carried upon simply based on her sexual choice(!). cos they have no other arguments (see AKP deputy's statement, "well yes im not as couragous as to have my p...s cut. and i have three SONS..." what a tragedy.. what a parliamentarian!

There is no comparison between what Bulent said and the actions (purported) of Ahmed Kaya. Seeing as you got into the he/she issue, I expanded on it.

Roswitha, your posts are always interesting but WHY do you almost always quote the entire article verbatim? With the combined weight of yours and Almeda's posts it's no wonder the site crashes so often! lol. Why don't you just leave us with the link and let us look for ourselves?
