MARE NOSTRUM -CAN YÃœCEL
En uzun kosuysa elbet Türkiyede de Devrim,
O, onun en güzel yüz metresini kostu
En sekmez lüverin namlusundan firlayarak...
En hizlisiydi hepimizin,
En önce gögüsledi ipi...
Aciyorsam sana anam avradim olsun,
Ama ask olsun sana çocuk, ask olsun!

If the revolution in Turkey is the longest run too,
He, run the most beautiful 100 meters of it
By shooting up from the barrel of a never failing gun.
He was the fastest of us all
He finished this race ahead of us all.
I swear to God, I never feel sorry for you.

Deniz Gezmiş bu memleketin bağımsızlığı uğruna kendi canını feda etti. bu memleketteki en delikanlı adamlardan biridir. dava arkadaşları olan Yusuf Arslan ve Hüseyin İnan ile beraber 6 Mayıs 1972 tarihinde Amerikancı faşist generaller tarafından idam edildi.
