Quoting Elisa:

This reminds me of something. I read once that the Camel cigarettes that are sold in Greece don't have the "Finest blend of American and Turkish tobaccoes" line on them. The word "Turkish" was omitted, because Greeks wouldn't like it.
Is this true? When I read it, it sounded a bit like an urban myth to me.

I haven't heard that before, but it wouldn't surprise me if it has happened. Actually, things have began to change here the last couple of years. And nowadays, everything turkish is a fashion in Greece. Even a turkish tv series is the most popular in Greek tv. Turkish singers, turkish clubs, turkish cuisine, everything is highly recommended and preferable.
I don't like this hysteria either, but i prefer it from the hate that was blinding Greeks before these last couple of years.

Then it's good news. In the last couple of years, also Greece songs are very popular in Turkey. Now, if you turn on a radio station, you would definitely hear a greek song. Hmmm, we have a secret love to eachothers but we are not aware of it

Well this is my only complaint from Turks! And greeks by the way! They don't show their appreciation to my efforts. I m working so hard for Greek-Turkish affairs and still no salary i get from turkish or greek government!
This is an unfair world!
