Since your are there for 3 weeks you might try a vacation rental. I've rented a few places with flatsinistanbul.com and they were great. Vacation rentals are great alternatives to hotels more space, a kitchen and the only prying eyes are the neighbors...

We are getting married but it won't be until the second week I am there.

It won't be a problem really, especially not if you have engagement rings. Actually, tell the hotelowner you are getting married when you have th chance, they will only be happy for you instead of rejecting you a room

Congratulations in advance

Take no notice, nothing wrong with "cheap" I know people who have paid tens of thousands for a wedding only to divorce two years later!

There is a bad connotation with the word "cheap". "Inexpensive" would have been a much better word to use here.
