I want to thank you as well. I see many people use different forms and I was confused about the usage of "afraid" and agree.

Çok sağ ol

So what do we use here ?!

In English, 'afraid' is used here to mean 'I am sorry' - 'I'm sorry, I didn't get it right', 'I'm sorry, I don't hear you' = 'I apologise for not getting it right', 'I apologise for not hearing you'.

Often we might use both and say 'Sorry, I am afraid I didn't hear you'!

Pardon,özür dilerim,seni dinlemiyorum ?!

İ mean 'get' here as same as in this sentence i know it mean understand and we can translate it like this, but is there a translation for 'get' in Turkish ?!

1- 'I'm sorry, I don't hear you' = ÖZÜR DİLERİM, SİZİ DUYAMIYORUM

2- 'I apologise for not hearing you' = SİZİ DUYAMADIĞIM İÇİN ÖZÜR DİLERİM

3- " I apologise for not understanding you " = SİZİ ANLAYAMADIĞIM İÇİN ÖZÜR DİLERİM

4- 'Sorry, I am afraid, I didn't hear you' = AFEDERSİNİZ ( ÜZGÜNÜM), KORKARIM, SİZİ DUYAMADIM

5- excuse me, I did not hear you" = AFEDERSİNİZ, SİZİ DUYAMADIM

6- excuse me, I don't hear you" = AFEDERSİNİZ, SİZİ DUYAMIYORUM

I think you would use 'Affedersiniz' or maybe 'Kusura bakmayin'.

As for the 'Sorry, I am afraid' together - I was just illustrating how English never only uses one word when it can use two or more!!!
