That's true. If you go to a jewelry story in Turkey, and tell them you are going to a wedding, they have special things for that.
It can get very expensive going to Turkish weddings.

I think it's pretty good. It's high quality. I think it's pretty much the same price all over. That's one of the sad things about gold. It always comes down to the weight. Many beautiful old treasures have been melted down because of that.
When I was in Morocco I saw nice old pieces of gold that were just being melted to recast.

the wedding I am going to is one of my cousins. She is my dad's, mum's brother's daughter - he's first born. She isn't much older than me, but now it seems like I'll be out there for her wedding my mum and obviously me want to get her something well get them both something, hence the reason I put this message into the froums, thanks for everyone's comments

well no iam not in rug business but my dad is ,I love carperts espically the silky one it's ok to give an silk carpet as a gift

If I'm not mistaken çeyrek gold is about 50 liras. In my area the close family give all kinds of household presents, TVs, washing machines, carpets...any couple is pretty much set to move into their own home after their wedding Other relatives, friends and neighbours usually give çeyrek gold or money. The list if money presents can be several pages long as many give a simple 5 lira note as a token of their blessing

I am willing to give much more than 5, 5 lira is about £1. Anyways the jewellery I think will be what I'll get them, so I guess i will get that very soon
