Quoting deli:

English National Anthem

God Save the Queen

God save our gracious Queen,

Long live our noble Queen,

God save the Queen!

Send her victorious,

Happy and Glorious,

Long to reign over us;

God save the Queen!

O Lord our God arise,

Scatter her enemies

And make them fall;

Confound their politics,

Frustrate their knavish tricks,

On Thee our hopes we fix,

Oh, save us all!

Thy choicest gifts in store

On her be pleased to pour;

Long may she reign;

May she defend our laws,

And ever give us cause

To sing with heart and voice,

God save the Queen!

there you go!but yes joey i prefer swing low sweet chariot

We use the same one up here in Scotland only we call it the National Anthem and I see you use the shortened version with no mention of the six paragraph with the line

"rebellious Scots to crush"

Turkish Daily News
13 march 2006

National anthem is 85 years old:

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said the national anthem is the symbol of the great heroism of the Turkish nation and a message of the rebirth and renewal of a weary and destroyed country.

Erdoğan was speaking on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the national anthem's approval by the Turkish Parliament.

President Ahmet Necdet Sezer said the national anthem was a unique work that represented the Turkish nation's love for flag and country, an ambition for freedom and independence, a reaction against injustice and for national unity and integrity. Sezer added that the composer of the national anthem, Mehmet Akif Ersoy, had managed to immortalize the victory of the War of Independence through the poem's lines.
