Korkma! Sönmez bu şafaklarda yüzen al sancak;
Sönmeden yurdumun üstünde tüten en son ocak.
O benim milletimin yıldızıdır, parlayacak!
O benimdir, o benim milletimindir ancak!

Çatma, kurban olayım, çehreni ey nazlı hilâl;
Kahraman ırkıma bir gül... Ne bu şiddet, bu celâl?
Sana olmaz dökülen kanlarımız sonra helâl;
Hakkıdır Hakk’a tapan, milletimin istiklâl.

Fear not! The crimson flag blowing at these dawns shall never fade
Unless the very last hearth that burns upon this land extinguishes.
It is my nation's star, it will shine on!
It is mine, it can only belong to my nation!

Frown not! O coy crescent, for I am ready to sacrifice myself for you;
Smile upon this heroic nation -- why this anger, this rage? --
How else our blood shed for you can become consecrated, sanctified
This Nation deserves its independence, worshipping the Divine Right!

Fear not and be dismayed,
this crimson flag will never fade
it s the last hearth that's burning for my nation and
we know for sure that will never fail.
it s my nation's star that ever forth will shine.
it s my nation's star and it's mine

Frown not, fair crescent, for I
Am ready e'en to die for thee
smile now upon my heroic nation, leave this anger
lest the blood shed for the unblessed be,
Freedom's the right of this nation,
Yes, freedom for us who worship God and seek what s right.

I was not aware that England had a separate anthem other than "swing low sweet chariot" often sung at English rugby games.

English National Anthem

God Save the Queen

God save our gracious Queen,

Long live our noble Queen,

God save the Queen!

Send her victorious,

Happy and Glorious,

Long to reign over us;

God save the Queen!

O Lord our God arise,

Scatter her enemies

And make them fall;

Confound their politics,

Frustrate their knavish tricks,

On Thee our hopes we fix,

Oh, save us all!

Thy choicest gifts in store

On her be pleased to pour;

Long may she reign;

May she defend our laws,

And ever give us cause

To sing with heart and voice,

God save the Queen!

there you go!but yes joey i prefer swing low sweet chariot

Refrain

Swing low, sweet chariot,
Coming for to carry me home,
Swing low, sweet chariot,
Coming for to carry me home.

I looked over Jordan, and what did I see?
Coming for to carry me home,
A band of angels coming after me,
Coming for to carry me home.

Refrain

If you get there before I do,
Coming for to carry me home,
Tell all my friends I’m coming, too.
Coming for to carry me home.

Refrain

I’m sometimes up and sometimes down,
Coming for to carry me home,
But still my soul feels heavenly bound,
Coming for to carry me home.

Refrain

The brightest day that I can say,
Coming for to carry me home,
When Jesus washed my sins away,
Coming for to carry me home.

Refrain

EXCELLENT!

We use the same one up here in Scotland only we call it the National Anthem and I see you use the shortened version with no mention of the six paragraph with the line

Turkish Daily News
13 march 2006

National anthem is 85 years old:

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said the national anthem is the symbol of the great heroism of the Turkish nation and a message of the rebirth and renewal of a weary and destroyed country.

Erdoğan was speaking on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the national anthem's approval by the Turkish Parliament.

President Ahmet Necdet Sezer said the national anthem was a unique work that represented the Turkish nation's love for flag and country, an ambition for freedom and independence, a reaction against injustice and for national unity and integrity. Sezer added that the composer of the national anthem, Mehmet Akif Ersoy, had managed to immortalize the victory of the War of Independence through the poem's lines.

Hakkıdır, Hakk'a tapan milletimin istiklal.

Ben ezelden beridir hür yaşadım, hür yaşarım;
Hangi çılgın bana zincir vuracakmış? Şaşarım!
Kükremiş sel gibiyim, bendimi çiğner, aşarım.
Yırtarım dağları, enginlere sığmam, taşarım.

Garbın âfâkını sarmışsa çelik zırhlı duvar.
Benim iman dolu göğsüm gibi serhaddim var.
Ulusun, korkma! Nasıl böyle bir imanı boğar,
'Medeniyyet!' dediğin tek dişi kalmış canavar?

Arkadaş, yurduma alçakları uğratma sakın;

Her cerîhamdan, İlâhi, boşanıp kanlı yaşım,
Fışkırır rûh-ı mücerred gibi yerden na'şım;
O zaman yükselerek arşa değer belki başım!

Dalgalan sen de şafaklar gibi ey şanlı hilâl!
Olsun artık dökülen kanlarımın hepsi helâl.
Ebediyyen sana yok, ırkıma yok izmihlâl;
Hakkıdır, hür yaşamış, bayrağımın hürriyet,
Hakkıdır, Hakk'a tapan milletimin istiklâl!

Mehmet Akif Ersoy

I like this part.

Don't say this is just a earth that we step on,recognize it.
Think about the thousands of people lying down without a shroud.
You are the son of şehid(in the dictionary it is written like thiserson who has died while serving the Turkish state),don't hurt your ancestors,it could be a shame
Don't give this paradise country,if they even give you all the world.

I don't know if I made mistakes or not.But I wanted to share this part with you.

yes. really good translation. thank you. this is not my translation. I found it.but 2 translation will give the right message:

Do not ignore the ground on which you have walked,
It is not ordinary soil.
Reflect on the thousands of people who lie beneath
Without a shroud.
You are the son of a martyr –
Do not hurts your ancestor,
Do not give away this beautiful motherland,
Even if you have the whole world.
