If that happens Turkey will join these countries of internet blockers:- (Real progress...... ) • Afghanistan • Algeria • Azerbaijan • Bahrain • Belarus • Burma • China (including Hong Kong) • Cuba • Egypt • Ethiopia • India • Iran • Iraq • Israel • Jordan • Kazakhstan • Kyrgyzstan • Libya • Malaysia • Moldova • Morocco • Nepal • North Korea • Oman • Pakistan • Saudi Arabia • Singapore • South Korea • Sudan • Syria • Tajikistan • Thailand • Tunisia • Ukraine • United Arab Emirates • Uzbekistan • Venezuela • Vietnam • Yemen • Zimbabwe

I´m Tunisian, and YouTube has been banned for a while now, along with DailyMotion. When I try to enter the site, I get a false 404 Error signal. Which means, the webpage is banned.

The list is of countries which censor internet, not just youtube. There may be other sites that are banned in your country.

Question: when a country bans sites, does that in your opinion mean that it is a sign of dictatorship? Because then I live in a dictatorial country as well.....

If youre talking about Egypt yeah its a dicatorial country, but not because of the ban, and i dont think that the sites are banned but i htink its filtered, only, but i think banning a site is kind of dictatorial, coz they could ban a lot of sites that could influence ppl´s opinions, that means theyre choosing for them how to think and thats dictatorial!!

I believe you can very easily move to a country that censors internet.

Yes, well said Doudi.  Of course there are also web sites that censor their members, thus influencing the course a thread takes, which in turn influences the readers of the threads.

btw Catwoman, where did Alameda´s post disappear to?  It was on page 10 of the thread "Why criticism of Islam is a necessity".  It wasn´t insulting or disrespectful, but very witty

I am sure you´re not that against censorship Peacetrain, so you should be least worried. You know many other witty posts used to be written in this forum, but they didn´t make you laugh so had to be removed.

None of your personal remarks answers my question,  What happened to Alameda´s post and why was it removed?
