Quoting CANLI

doudi..

Like a river is ...nehir gibi

Time like a river

Zaman nehir gibi

Time flowing like a river

Zaman nehir gibi akıyor.

Beside sometimes they change the sentence order at the songs with the rhythm

Remember the thread about seni seviyorum...and seviyorum seni ?

Seviyorum seni-Nazım Hekmit

im sorry canli but i dont get it :S

why dont we say time is like a river if gibi goes between 2 words zaman gibi nehir?

what youre saying is time like a river is zaman nehir gibi,

does that mean if we want to say house is like an elephant ev fil gibi or ev gibi fil? and since zaman nehir gibi akiyor means time flows like a river, does that mean if there isa verb it goes after gibi?

this is reaaaaaaaaaaaally confusing!!!! :S:S
