Thanks for all the posts on here. It is only MSN addresses? what about if you put normal e-mail addresses ie Yahoo ones? Hope others will read this and be careful. Is there anyway to stop it if you have gone into links and spam or virus messages start?
Giving your email address to unknown sites ALWAYS has a risk of receiving spam, no matter if it is MSN, Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, your providers mail etc. Checking sites can be done using McAfee Site Advisor - free download, then you type/paste the site address into Google address bar and it gives you advise: green is safe, yellow is be careful and red is high alert. Giving besides your address your password is asking for trouble, it´s like giving someone the code of your debitcard. Further more: NEVER reply to spam messages, it´ll only confirm it is an existing address. Add a good firewall, run a virus scanner at least weekly etc. I get only get 1 or 2 spam a week, I mark them as ´unsafe´ and never hear anything again from the sender. I even don´t open messages from unknown senders and I certainly will NOT forward them because many times it are chain messages.
