how long does it take to have internet connection in turkey? he lives in antalya center, and he made a request to have an internet connection about a week ago... but no news up to now... does anybody know or have an idea?

We had a topic like this before ,i dont remember its name,but as i remember,it would takes about 10 days to 2 weeks to get one.

As long as you already have a phone line - very quickly - in my case 4 days - but maybe it varies from area to area.

 Yeah it certainly is when you move house   They seem to automatically cut off the last one now - it took me 3 weeks to get online when I moved this year.

Also... now that everyone has mobiles, I would guess it more common to NOT have a land line in Turkey.

I suppose so......in fact the only reason I have a landline is for my internet connection.......

I do have a telephone but I can´t recall the last time it was actually used.......

lol!!! no he said he was supposed to get it in 2-3 weeks, and now he tells me that he is still waiting for his connection....i was just wondering if it really takes too long... Coz here, (Philippines) when we got our internet connection, i only had to wait for like 4-5 days...

I don´t know for sure, but I get the impression that things like this vary a great deal depending on which area of Turkey you happen to be talking about.......

If you are not Turkish it can be - yes.   There are certain criteria you have to fulfil to get a phone line!

Why???

Is it all do to with a credit rating?
