I tried, but I´m useless at translating from English to Turkish ... Þimdiden teþekkür ederim

" I hope you and everybody is ok.  I lost Nurhayat´s number.  I´m wishing you all a happy new year and I hope 2009 is a wonderful year for you all. Take care, hope to see you again soon. Best wishes."

" Happy New Year ! I wish that 2009 brings you all the happiness in the world And telephone credit! Hehe  "

I am not a native speaker but this is a simple message.

"Sen ve herkesin iyidir umarim.  Nurhayatýn numarasý kaybettým.  Sýze için multu yýllar ve 2009 güzel býr yýl umarým.

Dýkkatlý ol.  Görüþmek üzere.  Ýyisin umarým."

"Multu yýllar size!  Sizin için 2009 tüm iyidýr umarým ve telefon kontur ya!

PS if a native speaker gives a different version, use that.  I think this will be understood however.

I think you should use ´kendine iyi bak´ here rather than ´dikkatlý ol´ as ´dikkat´ has the sense of ´beware´ rathern than ´look after yourself´.

I think it should maybe be ´telefon kredisi´ and not ´kontur´.

(As you know, I´m not a native speaker either but those were just a couple of things I noticed

some little additions:

not "herkesin" but "herkes" iyidir.

and "best wishes" is "en iyi dileklerimle"

and "telephone credit" is (for prepaid mobiles?) "kontör" in Turkish, or "telefon kontörü"

so to sum up

Mutlu yýllar!(or "Yeni yýlýnýz kutlu olsun!") 2009´un size dünyadaki bütün mutluluðu getirmesini dilerim. Ve telefon kontörü! Hehe.

Ahh! I already sent the messages this morning, will they still be understood? Thank you very much for everyone´s help though still

Also, could I say (if it´s just for a single person:::

Mutlu yýllar! 2009´un sana dünyadaki bütün mutluluðu getirmesini dilerim. Ve telefon kontörü! Hehe.

Sorry I know it´s a busy time, but could someone quickly just tell me the answer to the question I posted above please? I can´t take my phone tonight and need to send the message before I go out (very soon! ) Sorry to be so impatient hehe {#lang_emotions_shy}

I think you can! (you can use the plural ´you´ for singular anyway-it´s just more formal and/or polite)

Don´t worry, they were understandable

and yes, it depends on how close your relation with this person is, but to a friend, you can say "sana" of course
