hii garie, I read ur question about getting visa. I just finished doing that in PH and I want to share my personal experienced to you. First you have to call Turkish Embassy in Philippines then ask them what papers you will need. You told in this forum that you still didnt travel anywhere so I think better ask them.
TURKEY EMBASSY PHILIPPINES
2268 PARAISO ST., DASMARINAS VILLAGE
MAKATI CITY PHILIPPINES
843-9705
843-9707
Call them start at 3pm.
they dont entertain calls on other time.

hi again, you will get tourist visa as I did. You have to prepare passport pic 2 pcs, bank certificate, bank books if you have business bring business permits xerox copy and bring originals and the best way is invitation letter because its your first time to travel. You cant work there as a tourist. That will be a different visa it will be working visa and i will tell you they will need lots of papers and you will wait so long time.
For working visa you will need red ribbon certificate -certificate of school you finished from philippines and in ANKARA.
Approva
Invitation letter of the company who invites you.

Hi garie
I visited turkey in December and I only got a visa upon arrival at the Istanbul Airport.
It costs US$15 or EUR 10 and it´s valid for one month. As far as I remember this applies to
most countries...

hi garie, bank certificate is one of the requirements unless you have a host from turkey that invites you to go there and shoulder your airfare trip and means of stay there.
If you will see their application form at the back page they have a question there asking who will pay for your stay and the return airfare ticket to where country you belong. You know, I was shocked too!!! I went to many countries already requiring visa, but its my first time to see a question like that in a application form When you will have the VISA application form you will see it anyway. In short they dont want TNT there. Also you told in the forum that its your first time to travel so better bring all the requirements. Sorry for the last message i shared with you coz its not complete i didnt have time to finish.
Also you ask if you can work there as a tourist, nope. You need to get a working VISA.
Best way , ask for a help... a letter of invitation is best.

Not to the Phillipines though......I believe it´s as difficult - if not more so - for a Filipino to get a visa for Turkey as it is for a Turk to get a visa for the UK.

it is difficult for Filipino´s to get a visa to Turkey. unless, someone sends them letter of invitation or "davet". The person sending the davet should have sufficient amount of money in the bank, has at least car insurance or some sort of property etc, to show the embassy, to prove that you can support the person going to Turkey. The person also going to Turkey, should show bank statements (at least 40,000 pesos.. which is around 1000 us dollars or more) and a plane ticket, (no direct flights from philippines to turkey) would cost you around 1500 dollars. (gulfair.com it´s the cheapest) and you have to pay 5000 pesos for visa processing, which is about... hmmm 100 us dollars or more, without any assurance of getting approved. If you get denied, you cannot get back the money you spent to process visa, and you have to wait for about a few months or a year, before you can apply again.

oh and by the way.... you would be spending around 1500-2000 us dollars, just to get a tourist visa to Turkey. But if you would be applying for work to Turkey, in order to get a work visa, the company that would hire you, will take care of everything. Visa, etc. And just to let you know, it is hard to find a job in Turkey, and find a company or agency that would take care of your visa. Trust me, i tried.
A little piece of advice. Don´t go to Turkey, unless he will pay for everything. And make sure you REALLY know your boyfriend. I thought i have known my ex for 2 years, but apparently i didn´t.
