Hi there,

Does anyone know exsactly what you would need to send to the Turkish consulate if you wanted to get a visitors visa to England. I have looked on line but its all a bit confusing as to what is and what isnt needed and I have heard so many different stories regarding this matter!?

Dear all,

Let me explain myself a bit more. My male cousin has made friends with a guy over in Turkey and is trying to help him come over for a holiday some time this year. He asked me for my advice as I am seeing a Turkish guy but as I have not been in this situation so I didn’t want to give him incorrect information.

We are not stupid and do know that getting a visa involves going to the consulate in Turkey where they will tell you what is required for the application. But as I have heard from many people this is a difficult process which can be turned down for many different reasons and that sometimes supplying more information than is needed from this end (England) helps the application further. I did not know if this was the case or if infact it was simpler than this so I thought I would ask you guys seeing as (like you pointed out) it wouldn’t be the first time you have been asked this question!

But it seems that none of you have any tips or advice to offer me so thank you for your time.

 You have to become a member, but they do have a lot of information on the site.  I was once a member before I joined here and I must admit, this site is tame compared to that {#lang_emotions_scared}

Maybe we should pm garie and ask her to invite him to join TC?  He could help save the ones who have fallen prey to dudus - with his words of simple wisdom.
