Isnt 8 th March Women day there?
Offfffff I have no idea what it is...it sounds American though... they celebrate anything...Grandmother´s Day, Children´s Day, Ex-Husband´s Day, My Dead Budgie´s Day..... all invented by greeting card manufacturers and all enthusiastically adopted by the US people!

Oh no!!! 
If it is Woman´s Day, this means I am going to get loads of those "chain" emails with cutsey pictures of puppies or kittens in baskets and messages like "you are a strong woman and my best friend - pass this on to 5 strong and wonderful women you know and love"....

Sorry but this is a load of crap - and it does nothing but alienate us even more as a separate "group" like some kind of special needs people

I am not anti-womanist, but what is the purpose of this day? As far as I am aware we are not excluded from the Nobel Prizes, Oscars (!), Pulitzer Prize or any other such recognition. Why should we want to treat women who achieve as unique? It is not such a rare thing!!

Hahah Femme´s link confirms my suspicion about this "day":-

I find the whole thing patronizing and condescending...
