Could someone please explain this suffix to me? I have looked it up in the suffix dictionary, but I still do not understand what it is supposed to express

Thanks for any help!

This had me confused for ages as well. My main problem was that I was ignorant of object participles, and how they worked.

There are 2 main areas the ´dik´ suffix is used.

1) added to verbs to indicate something that has happened (past tense)

or

and

2) added to a verb stem, that is then used to become an adjective for the object in a sentence. (object participle)

Hope this helps! Smile
