the sentence was ´I eat a toast´. What turkish you saw eating just a slide of roasted bread?! Its absurd! Its about a meal not something like popcorn
´I eat a toast´ is not correct English - this is because the original poster is not a native-English speaker - and this is the sort of mistake often made.
I never saw a Turk eating a slice of roasted bread, this is true - but as bread toasters can be bought in any supermarket or electrical store here, I assume many Turks do eat toasted bread or kýzarmýþ ekmek. Scalpel certainly does! (addition: I just saw Alpha´s post and obviously he knows Turks who eat toast too )
And considering the rest of the post included sentences like ´I eat a toast with jam and butter´ - he/she is most definitely not referring to a meal.
