Hi Inscrutable. In your attempt, you have made istiyoruz into a negative, by adding the negative suffix ´me´ to become istemiyoruz (we don´t want) That´s why k_s changed the sentences to reflect what you wrote.
What you need to use to ask a question is the question tag - mi, mu, mý, mü
So the question I think should become
Dükkanlara gidiyoruz, gelmek istiyor musunuz?
(we are going to the shops, are you wanting to come?)
or you can use Reyhan´s version.

I know that when you use ´istemek´ or ´için´ you put the infinitive...so not gelmeyi istiyor musunuz but ´ gelmek...(istiyor musunuz...) Am I right?

I´m never sure when the infinitive is acceptable, and I didn´t know about the rule you mentioned.
Thanks for this information Reyhan, I will correct my earlier post.

In Turkish we never say ´dükkanlara gidiyoruz´. When you say ´alýþveriþe gidiyoruz´ this means you are going to buy something(s) that you have on mind. The best, I think, is to say ´çarþýya çýkýyoruz´. ´Would you like to come´ can be translated as follows: sen de gelir miydin (or gelir misin)? biz(im)le gelir miydin (or gelir misin)?
