Can you tell me if it is accepted for a lady to send a Turkish male friend flowers as a get well wish? I am American and would do it here. Guys are usually pleasantly surprised at the thought of getting flowers and like to be pampered. I don´t want the gesture to come accross badly if it is not done in Turkey.

I´m even surprised as an American you have sent guys flowers...I don´t think it´s a common thing women do even here. Not to say, some men would like flowers.

Of course it would be so kindly if you would send some flowers, no matter to men or women..of course it is so kindly behaviours here also.Dont worry, when we visit someone sick, we prefer to visit with flowers..

Even as an American girl, I like to do the unexpected and be creative. Are you saying that there is at least nothing that is of tradition that would be horrifying to him if I did send flowers to him? .......And if not flowers, is there something that I can do that is appropriate to send get well wishes to my friend. I am trying to be more personal than always using internet for all correspondance.

just be careful to send alive flowers, some hospitals do not accept them due to allergy, you had better send artifical if you are going to send to hospital..

He is not in a hospital. He is not super sick. I only wanted to show caring from far away. Here in USA, I would make him my best cure of chicken soup and deliver it personally of course. ..and still probably bring him flowers to cheer him up.

Artificial flowers? You can´t send live flowers to a hospital?
