2. i am turkish but not a turkish teacher so i dont know whether the verb "yemek" has not regular form... that means this.
3. that was not a question, just a clama about "i am not sure"

Greetings,
For a list of tenses please check this thread:

If you haven't already downloaded winmekmak I suggest downloading it. Winmekmak is your biggest help with verbs.

A discussion on "yemek" can be found here:
Shortened form of future tense:

It looks like it is only me and caliptrix who conjugate the verb 'yemek' as yiyiyorum and not yiyorum. caliptrix are you from İzmir as well? Maybe this is the reason for it, I don't know.
People even say "Ali yemek yiyor" instead saying "Ali yemek yiyiyor". Anyway, more discussion is in that thread.

I use yiyor & diyor:
ben yiyorum/diyorum
sen yiyorsun/diyorsun
o yiyor/diyor
biz yiyoruz/diyoruz
siz yiyorsunuz/diyorsunuz
onlar yiyorlar/diyorlar
|
Hayır diyiyor diye hiç duymadım.

Yup - a further explanation of this would be good
I can totally understand yiyiyor as the verb stem of yemek is single syllable ending in a vowel......but surely if you use yiyiyor then you must also use diyiyor.
Are yemek and demek the only two verbs to have a single syllable verb stem that ends with a vowel??? I assume that yamak is never used as a verb!

I am sorry - but this is one of my absolute pet hates......
When I started to learn Türkçe last November I started by copying the characters from other places but that is tedious. So I wrote a custom keyboard layout that allows a standard English keyboard to display the Türkçe characters without interfering with the usual English characters.
It is freely available to anyone who wants it!
Get it here!
