If your partner is Moslem and is telling you that his religion does not allow him to marry you, he is either sincerely misinformed or a regular liar.

Best you two seek advise from an imam in a local mosque, together. He should be able to explain you the ropes.

pfff, when did all men get so smart? My partner always says "nooo, nobody said anything to me about me dating a Western girl, everybody loves you, it´s wonderfullll, grrrrreat!" ...hard time believing that He did have a problem with me not being able to make Turkish tea the first time he asked me for tea... but that´s all he ever expressed to me about cultural problems

There should not be to be honest.. You can not make a half way decent relationship without plaining the primitive parts of an average Turkish man. That is what she is doing..let her do it..

Well, it´s a good thing that he doesn´t say that than, isn´t it I explained to him that my family wouldn´t be thrilled if I got married before I got my final university diploma, hence the not marrying yet. It has nothing to do with him being muslim and me being something else

Very smart....get your diploma first; not for your family, but for your own good !
